Velvet Vines was co-founded by Emily and Lauren, who together bring over eight years of experience in the wedding industry. Throughout our work, one thing always stood out to us the amount of floral waste left behind after celebrations. We’ve sadly watched thousands of pounds worth of beautiful arrangements discarded after just a single day, and it never sat right with us.


From that awareness, Velvet Vines was born. Our mission is to place sustainability at the heart of what we do, offering couples a more conscious and often more affordable alternative to fresh flowers. With Emily’s passion for all things weddings and Lauren’s background in interior design, we combine creativity and expertise to craft floral designs that are both timeless and meaningful.

Meet Emily

Hi, i'm Emily 


After spending many years in the wedding industry I realised what I loved most from every wedding was the use of floristry, I decided to start Velvet Vines so people can keep their special flowers for years to come. 


I live in West Sussex with my husband and cheeky cocker spaniel Ronnie, who loves joining me on long countryside walks. Those walks are where I find so much inspiration from the ever changing seasons. Having got married myself last year and having the most incredible dried flowers as bouquets, button holes, flower crowns and centre pieces I wanted to shout from the roof tops of what a game changer they are - I still have my beautiful bouquet on my dining room table. 


Im a real people person and absolutely love getting to know couples and families I work with, whether its being part of your wedding journey or helping you create something meaningful for your home. Its such a privilege to capture those memories in a way you can treasure forever, I cant wait to hear from you!

Meet Lauren

Hi, I’m Lauren 


What I love most about working in the wedding industry is having the honour of being part of one of the most special days in a couple’s life. Helping to bring your ideas and dreams to life and creating something that will live on in your memories, is truly magical.

That’s what inspired me to start Velvet Vines. Florals that don’t just look beautiful on your wedding day, but are made to last a lifetime.


I’ve always had a creative mind. With a degree in Interior Design and Styling, I’ve long been passionate about colour, texture, pattern, scent, and the raw beauty of nature - all things I’ve found perfectly expressed through flowers.


I now live in a cosy little cottage in Surrey with my partner, where we enjoy long countryside walks and quiet evenings by the fire. Family means everything to me - growing up with two brothers definitely shaped me into the determined, strong-minded, caring woman I am today.


I’m also a bit of a social butterfly - put me in a room full of strangers and I’ll walk out with a room full of friends. I absolutely love getting to know the couples I work with and often end up forming lovely bonds with their families too.
